LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested a Louisville man after police found over 17 pounds of crystal methamphetamine along with several firearms.

According to Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley, the arrest took place on Thursday, Jan. 7. Police say they executed a search warrant at a home on Old Outer Loop, near Preston Highway.

When officers arrived, 39-year-old Dannie Ryan Mosley allegedly tried to run away, but he was eventually caught with the help of a police K9.

Smiley said detectives found 17-1/2 pounds of crystal meth, three pounds of marijuana and three handguns.

Mosley was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, burglary, fleeing or evading police and trafficking in marijuana, according to Louisville Metro Corrections online records.

Smiley says the FBI was also involved in the investigation.
