POLICE: One man found dead and two women injured in Dubois County, Ind.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police in Dubois County, Ind., say a man was found dead when officers responded to a report of a home intrusion. Police also say two female victims who had been injured were also located.

Officers with the Dubois County Sheriff's and Ferdinand Police Departments went to a home in the Ferdinand Township area around 2:40 a.m., according to a news release.

One of the women was held hostage inside a residence, according to police. The second woman was transported to Memorial Hospital.

Police say Jeffrey Perry, 37, died of multiple stab wounds.

Police say officers made entry into a residence and arrested Kyle Popplewell, 25, around 5:40 a.m.

He's charged with burglary, battery with serious bodily injury, criminal confinement two counts of rape and murder.

The two female victims were treated at Memorial Hospital and released.
