LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A local company will pay tribute to a fallen KSP trooper today.

Cameron Ponder was shot and killed in September along I-24 in Lyon County.

His parents set up a memorial fund to support programs he loved.

Telmate -- a technology provider for prisons -- will present a check for the Trooper Cameron Ponder Memorial Fund during a halftime ceremony at tonight's North Hardin basketball game.

Telmate representatives, Kentucky State Police and local law enforcement agencies will gather in memory of Ponder as part of the company’s program called "Telmate Fallen Heroes."

Ponder graduated from North Hardin High School in 2002.

Brenda Tiffany, Ponder’s mother, said that the fund that was established at The Cecilian Bank in Hardin County will help to "carry on Cameron's singular passion for helping others."

Telmate is donating an undisclosed amount of money to the fund.
