LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Former Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear is returning to work at a law firm.

He will work in the Stites & Harbison Lexington office, which he supervised from 1987 until his election as governor in 2007. The firm says Beshear will use his expertise as an attorney and elected official to serve clients throughout the region and in Washington, D.C.

Beshear left office last month and was succeeded by Republican Matt Bevin.
