LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Several Kentucky teachers will be sharing a $1 million prize after Wednesday's Powerball drawing.

Eleven co-workers from Paducah Public Schools traveled to the Kentucky Lottery headquarters in Louisville to claim their $1 million prize. When the woman who bought the ticket realized she had a winner, she remembered the ticket was in her desk at school.

She called and woke up the principal to let her in that night so she could get it.

After taxes, each person will get nearly $63,000.
