LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — University of Louisville signee V.J. King is the school’s first McDonald’s All-American since 2011, after being selected to the East Squad announced today.

He’ll join three of the University of Kentucky’s four McDonald’s All-Americans in the game, which will be played on March 30 at the United Center in Chicago.

Malik Monk, the No. 5-rated player in the nation, leads the contingent from coach John Calipari’s No. 1-ranked recruiting class. He’ll play on the West Squad coached by Pleasure Ridge Park’s Dale Mabrey.

UK’s East squad trio includes No. 6 Bam Adebayo, No. 7 De’Aaron Fox and No. 31 Sacha Killeya-Jones.
