Family, friends release balloons to remember 8-year-old shot 'accidentally'

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Family and friends gathered Monday for a touching display of love for a little, Louisville boy gone too soon.

The gathering released balloons in honor of 8-year-old Andre Lamon O'Neal, Jr. in the Park Hill neighborhood.

O'Neal, Jr. was shot and killed while at his babysitter's house.

Elgin Anders, who lives at the home, says he was putting a gun away when it accidentally fired.

O'Neal's family says they want answers on how the boy died.

"We love the other family too, we're not saying they're bad people, but they know who we are," O'Neal's grandmother said. "We don't want no trouble but we want justice for our grandson."

So far no one has been charged with a crime in connection to Andre Oneal's death.
