Ky. AG announces arrest of suspect who sought sex with minor
A Louisville man has been arrested after authorities say he tried to use the Internet to entice a minor to have sex.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man has been arrested after authorities say he tried to use the Internet to entice a minor to have sex.
Thomas Caso was arrested in western Shelby County by the Attorney General's Cyber Crimes Unit on on one count of Prohibited Use of an Electronic Communication System for the Purpose of Procuring a Minor for a Sex offense.
"Today, based on our hard work, and the work of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, our children are safer," Attorney General Beshear said.
According to investigators, 47-year-old Caso became the subject of an undercover investigation after he posted an online ad "seeking a high school girl for a fling."
After traveling to Shelby County for a meeting with an undercover officer, Caso was arrested Jan. 15 and transported to the Shelby County Detention Center.
