LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- University of Louisville President Dr. James Ramsey addressed the Club today and didn't shy away from hot topics.
Ramsey touted some of the university's recent successes. He said even with "noise" surrounding U of L, applications are up 13 percent. But he also noted that the struggling national economy and cuts to higher education are a challenge.
Ramsey did take a few jabs at the media about the coverage of the university's Board of Trustees and its lack of diversity. He also spoke about prostitution allegations surrounding the men's basketball team.
"We're going to determine wrongdoing, discover and deal with it openly and honestly, you know about everything that happens at the U of L because it's our attitude," Ramsey said. "We are transparent; don't believe anything you read or hear to the contrary."
Ramsey did not take questions from the media after his remarks.
