LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man accused of assaulting his wife last year has accepted a plea deal.

Jonathan Osborne was a Louisville Metro Police Officer at the time of the incident last February. It happened in Clark County, Indiana, when authorities said Osborne assaulted his wife as she drove them from a Super Bowl party.

The Clark County Sheriff's office says Osborne attacked his wife while she was driving near Sellersburg. She lost control of the vehicle, and it crashed into a building.

On Monday Osborne pleaded guilty to one charge of battery in exchange for six months of home incarceration.

Osborne was also charged with attempted battery, resisting law enforcement and criminal mischief, but those will be dismissed.
