Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Shoppers in Kentucky are spending less at the grocery store, according to Kentucky Farm Bureau.

Retail food prices dropped 7.5 percent in the state last year.

KFB surveys the average cost of 40 basic grocery items each quarter.

During the last quarter of 2015 the total cost of those items was $119.

That's just about $10 cheaper from the same time a year ago.
