LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – We’ve added another toy at the WDRB.com sports department.

In addition to subscriptions to KenPomeroy.com and BBState.com, Eric Crawford and I have gone upscale and paid the $99.99 for a subscription to ShotAnalytics.com.

You have to be legitimate Basketball Nerds to hang out there. We qualify. I can’t comprehend how the creators do it, but the site delivers detailed offensive and defensive shooting statistics for teams from the power conferences.

A brief example:

Is Louisville more dangerous offensively on the left or right side of the floor?

Left.

The Cards are making 37 percent of their shots from distance on the left side, 10 percentage points higher than the right side.

Where are Jamal Murray’s strongest and weakest spots to make three-point shots?

Murray is a 43 percent shooter from the right wing, but the percentage drops to 15 percent at the top of the key.

Where does Indiana rank in making three-point shots from the left wing?

Second in America, at 46 percent. The Hoosiers’ percentage from the right wing is 40 percent.

ShotAnalytics is a fascinating place. It’s also a dangerous place. I was on the site for more than an hour before I remembered it was time to post my weekly NCAA Tournament projections and resumes for Louisville, Kentucky and Indiana.

Enjoy -- with absolutely no mentions of ESPN's Green Room Week.
