Hillview Police arrest three after drive-by shooting
Police say the bullets almost hit a 13-year-old girl.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Hillview police say three people have been arrested after shots were fired into a Bullitt County home, missing a 13-year-old girl by inches.
According to arrest reports, it was all part of a woman's plan to scare her ex-boyfriend.
It happened on Monday morning.
Police say 19-year-old Anna Coffman drove her current boyfriend, 25-year-old William Wright, along with 20-year-old John Nichols, to a home on Dale Court, near Blossom Road and Hillview Boulevard.
It was the home of Coffman's ex-boyfriend, according to the arrest reports.
Police say Wright -- a convicted felon -- then handed Nichols his handgun, which Nichols then used to fire three shots into the home.
According to the arrest reports, the bullets almost hit a 13-year-old girl, missing her by only 1-1/2 to 2 feet.
Hillview Police eventually arrested all three of the suspects. Nichols is charged with wanton endangerment. Wright and Coffman are charged with complicity to wanton endangerment. Nichols is also charged with first degree criminal mischief, and Wright is also charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
At the time of this writing, the three of them are being held in the Bullitt County Detention Center.
