Papa John's presents generous gift to Bowl for Kids' Sake event

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Papa Johns is helping give every child the chance to succeed.

On Thursday the pizza chain presented a check for $65,000 for this year's Bowl for Kids' Sake event. It's Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana's largest annual fundraiser.

The organization said thank you to its title sponsor by unveiling a special plaque on its sponsor wall. All of the money raised by the bowling event goes toward helping the organization pair more children with mentors.

"The $65,000 that Papa Johns is going to contribute this year is going to allow us to match over 60 kids with professionally supported one to one mentoring relationships," said Kristin Milosevich, chief development officer for Big Brothers Big Sisters Kentuckiana. "So 60 children we weren't able to serve without these resources, we will now be able to."

Bowl for Kids' Sake starts next month.
