LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Cute alert: There's a brand new Budweiser Clydesdale in the world!

According to the official Facebook page for Warm Springs Ranch in Boonville, Missouri, Mac, the newest Budweiser Clydesdale, was born at 1:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26.

"Mom and baby are both happy!" the Facebook post exclaims.

The Anheuser-Busch Web site explains that Budweiser currently maintains a team of 250 clydesdales. The company fosters them in an effort to maintain a tradition that dates back to April 7, 1933, when August A. Busch, Jr. and Adolphus Busch III surprised their father, August A. Busch, Sr., with the gift of a six-horse Clydesdale hitch to commemorate the repeal of Prohibition.

Today, the clydesdales appear in various Anheuser-Busch marketing campaigns.
