LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) – It was a career day for Indiana freshman Thomas Bryant.
Bryant scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed 8 boards, lifting the 19th ranked Hoosiers to a 74-68 win over Minnesota.
Bryant was also key down the stretch for Indiana. After Minnesota erased a 16-point lead to take a 67-66 lead, Bryant put the Hoosiers ahead for good on a put-back with 1:56 to go. He then scored again almost a minute and half later on a dunk to give IU a three-point lead.
“We fought, we were resilient” said Tom Crean, whose Hoosiers bounced back from Tuesday’s loss to Wisconsin to improve to 18-4 on the season. “I’m really proud of the way we found a way to win.”
The Hoosiers are back in action on Tuesday at Michigan.
