LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested a Louisville man accused of beating his 2-year-old son.

According to the arrest warrant, it happened Jan. 30. That's when police say 21-year-old Dominick Gore, beat the child, "causing visible injuries to child's face, shoulder and abdomen" as well as a "busted lower lip."

The child was taken to Kosair Children's Hospital for treatment.

According to the arrest warrant, the child's mother, 20-year-old Alexis Wilkerson, is a co-defendant in the case. Police say Wilkerson allowed the beating to happen, and admitted she "videotaped herself and the defendant disciplining the child." The arrest warrant states that the co-defendant's mother called police.

Both Gore and Wilkerson are charged with one count of criminal abuse of a child under 12. Gore remains jailed at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $20,000 cash bond. Wilkerson's bond was set at $5,000 cash.
