LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Grayson County Sheriff's Office is looking for suspects in a series of car break-ins south of Elizabethtown over the weekend.

Police say someone has stolen car stereos, CDs, radios, medical equipment, CD players and other items from cars in the area surrounding Clarkson and Big Clifty. Police say all of the thefts were from vehicles that were unlocked and the stolen items were in plain sight.

According to a release, deputies have investigated six thefts from vehicles including several thousand dollars.

The Grayson County Sheriff's Office wants people in the area to keep their vehicles locked at all times and keep valuables out of sight by placing them in the console, trunk or glove box. The Sheriff's office also recommends parking your car in a well-lit area where it can be seen by others.

Anyone who might know anything about the thefts is asked to contact the Grayson County Sheriff's Department at (210) 259-3024.
