LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The University of Louisville's men's basketball team is going retro with special Black History Month uniforms.

The all-black and all-cream jerseys feature throwback name and numbering designs.

The "dunking bird" is a nod to the program's 1980 and 1986 NCAA championships.

Adidas says the collection also commemorates one of the program's first three African-American players: Wade Houston.

The black gear will be worn when the Cards play at Duke next Monday.

Athletes will sport the cream version at home against Duke on February 20.
