Former Leitchfield Police officer sentenced to 4 years on sex abuse charges

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A former Leitchfield Police officer is sentenced to four years in prison and a lifetime on the sex offender registry.

Steven Miller pleaded guilty last July to violating sex abuse laws with four students while working at the Kentucky National Guard's Bluegrass Challenge Academy, which is located on Fort Knox.

Miller, 44, was charged with engaging in sexual contact with students at Bluegrass Challenge Academy, including one instance of aggravated sexual abuse. 

The indictment also included charges that Miller attempted to intimidate of threaten one of the students to prevent her from reporting the matter.

Miller held a supervisory role back in 2013. After he gets out, he'll be on ten years of supervised release.
