LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Louisville Zoo has received a sizable grant to get children ready to enter kindergarten.
The PNC Foundation is donating $350,000 for the Zoo to fund construction of a new learning play space called "The Cub House."
It will be part of the snow leopard exhibit which will open in 2018.
Children will learn about endangered animals, and the space will have an ice cave and a technology zone.
The money will also fund classroom kits, Zoo educator visits, teacher training and Zoo-venture outings for families at the George Unseld Early Learning Center.
