LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Visitation is today for a Kentucky politician and civil rights leader.

Georgia Davis Powers was the first woman and first African-American elected to the Kentucky Senate.

She died Saturday.

Two visitations for Powers are planned today: one is this afternoon at the State Capitol Rotunda from 1:30 to 4 p.m. The second is tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. at St. Stephen Baptist Church in Louisville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Stephen. Power will be buried in Cave Hill Cemetery.
