Peyton Manning shirts banned at one school

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One Colorado school has banned clothing supporting the Denver Broncos' quarterback.

The school is located in Greely, which is about 65 miles from Denver.

Officials say the school's strict dress code prohibits students from wearing certain numbers and Peyton Manning's 18 is one of them.

The reason? Gang association. There's a gang called "18th Street" that started in Los Angeles and has now spread across the country.

The rule was put in place a year before Manning joined the team.
