LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The new Germantown Mill Lofts are almost finished.

Developers held an open house Saturday, showing off the first phase of the project.

Visitors got to tour the main mill at the seven-building complex on Goss Avenue.

Sixteen lofts were completed in December, and 63 were shown off Saturday.

Developer Colin Underhill says they started visualizing the project back in 2012.

"The vision was to make a very unique urban mill living experience, and we feel like it's coming together very nicely," Underhill said. "It's exciting to see how many people are out here with just a notice on social media."

There will be a total of 189 units by the time the project is expected to be completed in May.
