LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- LMPD detectives make another bust tied to a local smoke shop owner.

Authorities were back at the Oxmoor apartments Tuesday morning, where they took more packages sent to Tariq Bayoud.

Police say they found 140 kilos of synthetic drugs inside.

Police describe the substance as an off-white, tan powder that wasn't labeled.

Bayoud owns Trippy's Smoke Shop in Middletown.

He was charged on Friday with trafficking in a synthetic drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bayoud told WDRB this weekend that he wasn't selling anything illegal.

“We’re still in business. We didn’t do anything illegal. We’re doing everything according to the law,” Bayoud said. "I know what's legal and what's illegal. If I did something illegal, I should be in jail by now."

The items are being sent to a crime lab for testing.
