LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has advised on road conditions for several area counties.
Heavier snowfall has been recorded across much of District 4, which includes Breckinridge, Grayson, Green, Hardin, Hart, LaRue, Marion, Meade, Nelson, Taylor and Washington Counties.
Multiple crashes were reported in both directions on I-65 near Elizabethtown, and drivers were asked Sunday afternoon to avoid the interstate completely.
Meanwhile in southern Indiana, Floyd County issued a local travel advisory. Officials say routine travel or activities may be restricted in some areas because of hazardous conditions.
KYTC officials said around 10 p.m. that Bullitt County was reporting partly-covered routes, but all other counties still have completely covered roads. PIO Andrea Clifford added there are 132 salt trucks out across the eight-county area. Forty-seven of those are working on interstates in Jefferson County.
LMPD only responded to injury accidents Sunday. If you were in a non-injury accident, they advise both parties exchange information and file a report online.
Many school districts are closed for Monday, including JCPS, Jefferson County Catholic Schools, Oldham County Schools and Greater Clark County Schools.
