LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Snow stopped falling early Monday allowing crews to get many main roadways in good shape.

Side roads in many areas from in Louisville metro and in southern Indiana are snow covered, so many school districts that were not off for President's Day closed Monday including JCPS, Oldham County and Hardin County.  The University of Louisville decided to delay morning classes and open campus at 10 a.m.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says road conditions improved greatly overnight on the interstates and other major routes. Bullitt, Jefferson and Oldham Counties have wet pavement in most areas and partly covered in a few areas. Those crews are currently pushing back slush off the shoulders.

Crews are out salting and plowing Franklin, Henry, Shelby, Spencer and Trimble Counties. KYTC says if drivers use some caution, they will be able to navigate the main roads safely.
