Kentucky's forest fire hazard season starts Monday

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Even though snow is still falling on the ground, the spring forest fire hazard season starts Monday in Kentucky.

That means it's illegal to burn anything within 150 feet of any woodland between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The burning law is meant to allow burning only when conditions are less likely to spread a fire.

The forest fire hazard season continues through April 30.
