LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say they have arrested a man after authorities say guns and thousands of dollars worth of drugs were found in his car.

A news release from the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force says Eric Scott Keeling, 36, was taken into custody. The release was placed on a Facebook page for the Bardstown Police Department.

Officials say detectives with the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force, Nelson County Sheriff's Department and Bardstown Police K9 unit were involved in an investigation into methamphetamine.

Investigators say about a quarter-pound of crystal methamphetamine was found in Keeling's vehicle. Authorities say the drugs have a street value of $11,000. Police also located a fully-loaded SKS rifle, $800 in cash and two loaded handguns, one of which had been reported stolen.

Keeling is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, receiving stolen property and knowingly/fraudulently using an ID card or elect code for benefits.

Authorities say additional suspects are expected to be charged in connection with the case.
