Former treasury secretary wants to scrap $100 bill

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A former treasury secretary wants to scrap the $100 bill.

Larry Summers says it would decrease crime by making things harder for people who cheat on their taxes. He cites a Harvard study, which says eliminating the $100 bill would have little downside for commerce, but make life more difficult for lawbreakers.

The report also calls for an end to the UK's 50-pound note and the 500 Euro note.
