It's time to nominate cancer survivors for the Kentucky Oaks parade

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It's a special way to honor cancer survivors during the Kentucky Oaks. 

Nominations are now open for this year's Survivors Parade.

Out of the nominees, 142 survivors of breast and ovarian cancer will be selected to walk around the racetrack at Churchill Downs. 

Nominations are being taken through March 15 and selected participants will be announced the next day. 

Those who are chosen will receive two seats to Oaks.

2016 Survivors Will Receive:

  • Two (2) free reserved seats to the Kentucky Oaks courtesy of Churchill Downs
  • The opportunity to walk the historic Churchill Downs racetrack with fellow survivors, just before the 142nd running of the Kentucky Oaks
