Female inmate escapes from Western Kentucky Correctional

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Kentucky State Police are searching for a Western Kentucky Correctional Complex escapee.

Police say 40-year-old Lostia M. Shreves, of Cecelia, Ky, was last seen Feb. 17. Correctional employees discovered she was missing after a head count.

Shreves is described as a white female, with short brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a grey sweatshirt, Khaki pants, a white t-shirt, a fisherman-style hat, and black boots at the time of her escape.

A grey sweatshirt and other inmate clothing were found near the complex's grounds; it is possible Shreves changed clothing.

Kentucky State Police say they believe Shreves may be in a stolen maroon 1997 Ford F150 bearing Kentucky license plate 8472CG.

Shreves is serving time for probation violation for a felony offense. The charges that led to the probation included possession of a controlled substance, unlawful distribution of meth and burglary.
