LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The U of L women made it 18 wins in their last 19 starts, slowly pulling away from Virginia for a 74-59 victory Thursday night at the KFC Yum! Center.
Myisha Hines-Allen continued her stellar play inside with a ninth career double-double. She finished with 22 points on 9-of-15 shooting to go with 11 rebounds. Fellow Sophomore Mariya Moore scored 10 of the first 17 for Louisville and finished with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
Courtney Walton again played tough interior defense and crashed the offensive glass. She played all forty minutes, scoring five points and grabbing 10 boards, 7 on the offensive end.
U of L (21-6, 12-1) shot 49 percent from the field and outrebounded the Cavaliers 41-27. They had two others in double figures. Asia Durr hit 6-of-7 shots and 3-of-4 from beyond the three-point line for 15 points off the bench. Briahanna Jackson had 11 to go with 4 assists.
Louisville remains a game behind Notre Dame for the ACC lead. They have just three regular season games remaining. The next two are at Boston College and at Miami. Pittsburgh comes into the KFC Yum! Center to close the campaign on February 28th.
