LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana State Police arrested a woman for stealing money from a gymnastics organization she worked for, according to a police press release.

Amanda Warner, 34, is accused of transferring $2,200 from the Madison Gymnastics and Cheer Corporation's accounts into her own and spending $1,000 of the corporation's money to enter her children into gymnastics competitions.

Police say Warner was the treasurer of the organization at the time of the thefts during 2015.

She turned herself in at the Jefferson County, Ind. Jail Monday morning, according to state police.

ISP launched the investigation in November 2015 when the corporation reported "unauthorized transactions and missing money."
