LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Brown-Forman is toasting to the new Speed Art Museum with the gift of free admission.

The company's $1 million donation was announced Tuesday.

The museum has been closed for three years for a multi-million dollar renovation and workers are putting the finishing touches on the building.

Brown-Forman's gift will allow anyone to visit the museum for free on Sundays for five years. It's in honor of former CEO, Owsley Brown II.

"We're going to name them Owsley Sundays and in a very real sense, this is a gift in his honor where he can continue to mentor and inspire and befriend everyone in this community," said James Welch, Jr., Vice Chairman for Brown-Forman.

The Speed Museum re-opens on Saturday March 12 with 30 hours of free activities. The first Owsley Sunday will take place on March 20.
