LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Visitors to New Albany's River Run water park will have more places to park this summer.

The park holds more than 1,200 people, but last year there were only 165 -- leaving park goers to find an alternate spot.

Mayor Jeff Gahan says about 130 new spaces will be added on the front and side of the River Run water park.

The city is getting estimates on the new parking areas.

More than 33,000 people enjoyed fountains, a splash pad, lazy river and slides at the park that opened last June.
