LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Scott County prosecutor has filed 21 separate charges against a southern Indiana teacher accused of bringing meth to work.

Laura Nowling appeared in court this morning. A plea of not guilty was entered on her behalf.

Nowling was arrested yesterday at Austin Elementary School. Police say she had meth and drug items with her.

Harold Kemp and Zackie White were also arrested on drug charges. They were picked up at Nowling's home.

"If you're going to be involved in any kind of drug related activity in Scott County, be ready to go to jail because we're not stopping here," said Sgt. Jerry Goodin of Indiana State Police.

The school district says Nowling is on administrative leave.

Her bail was set at $50,000, or $10,000, if posted by cash.
