LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Passengers applauded as an Arizona family was forced off a plane because the son started having an allergic reaction.

The family was on an Allegiant Air flight when the 7-year-old boy had an allergic reaction to a dog on the plane.

According to Fox News, parents Christina Fabian and George Alvarado were taking their son, Giovanni, 7, on a special trip to get the boy's mind off his father's stage 4 throat cancer.

When the mom alerted a flight attendant, the flight was delayed so medical personnel could meet with the boy.

That's when the family was told to leave the plane because medical staff decided it wasn't safe for him to stay on it.

Christina says the Giovanni's heart was broken when passengers clapped as they left the plane.
