LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 16-year-old girl was taken to the hospital early Tuesday after being hit by a vehicle in southwest Louisville.

It happened around 7 a.m. on Cane Run Road and Wilkie Road. Police say the driver of the vehicle did not stop after hitting the teen as she was trying to cross Cane Run Road.  

The victim was taken to Kosair Children's Hospital with injuries to her right arm and leg. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening. 

Two witnesses saw it happen, but were unable to give a clear description of the vehicle before it drove away.
