The peregrine falcon named Diana is back at LG&E 's nesting box
The bird has nested in the company’s falcon box, set up at the Mill Creek Power Plant with a live webcam, since 2006.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Spring is almost here and the birds are already coming back north – including LG&E’s peregrine falcon, Diana.
The company says the bird has nested in the company’s falcon box, set up at the Mill Creek Power Plant, since 2006. Many of the company’s power plants include falcon boxes and a live webcam was installed through a partnership with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife in 2013.
Since then, the company says more than 200,000 people have viewed the camera. It also says more than 100 falcons have hatched in its falcon boxes across the state.
According to a release, Diana is back at the same box she usually visits and has already laid an egg. You can keep an eye on here here.
