Lawsuit filed against Mammoth Cave National Park after drowning deaths

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A wrongful death and negligence lawsuit has been filed against Mammoth Cave National Park.

According to the lawsuit, Donald and Michelle Meredith drowned after driving off the end of a ferry leaving Mammoth Cave last March. The park owns and operates the ferry.

The suit claims Mammoth Cave failed to provide a safe way to get on and off the ferry, which allowed the couple to drive off the far end of it.

The couple's car went into the Green River and they drowned.
