DOJ finishes review of GE's proposed sale of Appliance Park to Haier
GE's proposed sale of Appliance Park is one step closer to being a done deal.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- GE's proposed sale of Appliance Park is one step closer to being a done deal.
The Department of Justice has sent notice that it finished its review of the proposed transaction between GE Appliances and Haier.
We don't have a report from that review.
In January, GE announced the sale of its appliance division to Haier Group for $5.4 billion. Haier vows to keep GE Appliances' headquarters and its leadership team in Louisville and add 6,000 well-paying local jobs.
GE hopes the deal will be complete by the middle of this year.
