LOUISVILLE. Ky. (WDRB) -- The Bullitt County Sheriff says he will continue to provide police service to the county.

This comes after more than two months of back and forth between Sheriff Dave Greenwell and the fiscal court.

Greenwell told county leaders in December the Sheriff's Office could no longer afford to provide police service in the county.

By law, the office must serve papers, provide security at the courthouse and patrol public roads.

But an agreement signed Thursday by Greenwell says the budget is no longer a problem.

It still has to be signed by Fiscal Court members to be official.
