LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- High school students in Kentucky may want to pay closer attention in their U.S. History class.

They may soon be required to pass a citizenship test to graduate.

A bill cleared the Senate Education Committee in Frankfort on Thursday that said students would have to complete the same test given to people wanting to become U.S. citizens

They'd have to correctly answer 60 of the 100 questions, but they can take the test as many times as necessary.

If it passes, the testing requirement start next year.
