GREENSBORO, N.C. (WDRB) -- The 17th ranked Syracuse Orange edged out the 7th ranked Louisville Cardinals 80-75 in the semi-finals of the ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament on Saturday at the Greensboro Coliseum.

After trailing as many as 12, Louisville led 72-69 late in the game, but Syracuse rallied back with a 7-0 run to take the lead for good.  

Syracuse’s Alexis Peterson scored 19 points for the Orange, who will play Notre Dame in the ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament Championship on Sunday.

Myisha Hines-Allen, the 2016 ACC Player of the Year, led the Cards and recorded another double-double in Saturday’s match up. She posted 27 points and 12 rebounds. She went 9-13 in the field and 9-9 at the free throw line.

Asia Durr helped off the bench adding a career-high 23 points.

Briahanna Jackson put up 18 points and 9 rebounds for the Cards. 

Louisville gave the ball away 16 times, giving Syracuse more chances at the basket down the stretch.

Now the Louisville Women’s team will wait for their seeding and placement in the NCAA Tournament.

The NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship bracket will be announced during the Selection Show on Monday, March 14 at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
