POLICE: Explosive device detonates near entrance to Madison, Ind. City Hall

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Madison Police say they are investigating after an explosive device detonated near the entrance to City Hall.

According to a news release posted to the Madison Police Department's Facebook page, the device detonated Sunday near the City Hall parking lot in the 300 block of Central Avenue in Madison, Indiana.

After the detonation, the Indiana State Police Explosion Ordinance Destruction (EOD) team was contacted. Evidence was then collected from the scene and will be taken to the Indiana State Police Evidence Laboratory for examination.
