LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A German company wants to help protect your "crown jewels."

Kronjuwelen (which is the German word for crown jewels) is a company dedicated to making radiation-resistant underwear for the sake of the kids -- or future kids.

"Kronjuwelen GmbH aims to fill a gap in the underwear segment and targets fashion-conscious men who want a comfortable and trendy short that, at the same time, provides safety for their fertility," according to the company's website.

As Mashable reports, the company says the fabric is woven with silver wire; "something they believe can block electro-magnetic radiation pulses."

"Focusing on male fertility, the most recent studies show a rather consistent picture: high-frequency electromagnetic waves do in fact harm male sperm in the long-term," Kronjuwelen's website says. "Scientifically proven or not, new studies find that roughly c. 40% of all Americans state that they are 'concerned' about the effects of mobile phone radiation."

The underwear are available for 30 euros on Amazon.com.
