Valhalla founder Dwight Gahm dies at 96

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The founder of Louisville's Valhalla Golf Club has died.

Dwight Gahm and his three sons opened Valhalla in 1986. Gahm was also instrumental in bringing the PGA Championship to Valhalla in 1996.

The Gahm family sold the golf course to the PGA of America in 1996.

He and his sons still own Kitchen Kompact, which is a cabinet assembly plant. 

Gahm was 96.
