Police say Louisville man 'seriously injured' victim after forcing way inside home
Police say the victim received treatment for "a broken orbital bone and a brain bleed."
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested a Louisville man authorities say "seriously injured" a man after forcing his way inside the victim's home.
Joseph Porter, 33, was arrested Sunday, according to police records. LMPD says Porter and three co-defendants forced their way into the victim's home. The victim's mother called police and said Porter and the co-defendants entered the man's home and demanded money from the victim.
Officials say the incident occurred Jan. 26.
Authorities say the victim was hit until he "sustained serious injury." Investigators say Porter and the co-defendants left the home before police arrived.
The victim was taken by EMS to U of L Hospital to receive treatment for "a broken orbital bone and a brain bleed."
Police spoke to one of the co-defendants during the investigation. The co-defendant gave police information that identified Porter.
Porter is charged with assault and burglary.
