LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --  Trinity rallied from a ten-point deficit early in the fourth quarter to beat St. Xavier 52-48 in overtime for the Boys 7th Region Championship Tuesday night at Valley High School.

The Shamrocks had a seven-point lead in the second half and were still up 24-23 at halftime.  Connor McKim hit back-to-back threes to start the third quarter and eventually scored all 11 St. X points in the period as the Tigers took a 34-26 lead into the fourth quarter.  Eight straight points by Gabe Schmitt got Trinity back within two midway through the quarter.  L.J. Harris made 1 of 2 free throws to tie the game at 40 with 9 seconds left.  McKim, a 90 percent shooter, then missed a pair of free throws with :02.9 remaining and the game went to overtime.

McKim, the brilliant senior point guard, finished with 34 of the Tigers 48 points, 20 after halftime.  Trinity was led by Schmitt with 18.  Jacob King had 14.  It's the Shamrocks third trip to the sweet sixteen in the last five years.

In the 8th region final at Henry County, Grant Williams 17 points led five players in double figures as South Oldham beat Anderson County 81-44.  The Dragons had a 45-21 halftime lead.

And the 5th region final at Nelson County went to Taylor County for the second straight year.  The Cardinals got 33 points from Senior Quentin Goodin and pulled away from a one-point halftime lead for a 69-53 triumph over Bardstown.
